Hi and Welcome, I am Jocelyn, an experienced Counsellor and Therapist ready to support those experiencing distress in their lives as a result of relationship problems which can lead to symptoms of anxiety, depression, anger issues and drug and alcohol dependence.
There are also times when you reach a roadblock in life. You may feel that you are not managing mentally and physically with life’s challenges. You may find yourself in a domestic violence situation that leads to worry, isolation and sadness.
I am able to work with you in identifying ways to overcome these problems so you can have a better sense of self and continue life’s journey. I use various evidenced based techniques such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy that have proven to be effective based on empirical research.
Together we can identify what’s meaningful to you and together we can explore new ways of living more fully with yourself.

I am an experienced counsellor with a broad spectrum of qualifications covering multiple therapy modalities. I like to use a conversational approach to my therapy sessions, building understanding and strength in all my clients.
Group therapy and individual counselling are my speciality using various evidenced based approaches such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Mindfulness to name a few.
I am available via multiple methods to best suit your needs:

Most sessions are for Individuals and catered specifically to their needs. I also offer special Group sessions on occasion to meet the ongoing social and sharing needs of some therapies.
I am available vie telehealth/online for extended times.

While sessions are personalised for each client, a regular session would be 50 minutes long with time for conversation and specific specialised treatment. Usually a longer first session (90 minutes) is used to identify and enable the appropriate therapies and our working relationship.
Clients vary in terms of number of sessions taken, from just a few to deal with something specific to ongoing regular support.
Plus some types of therapy might warrant a longer session which would be discussed.
Regular Consultation Costs
Pricing will be provided during the initial conversation. The cost per session ranges from $40 to $200 depending on the service provided.
Health Funds Rebates
I have direct access to the rebates provided by the following health funds for their coverage of mental health treatment:
- Bupa Health Fund
- Medibank Private
- HCF
- AHM
- Police Health Fund
These are particularly stressful times and I am ready to help with any of the extra pressures arising from the changes to our lives as a result of COVID-19.
I can do both phone and digital online sessions (Zoom/Skype) and adhere to good hygiene and distancing measures for in-person sessions.
LOCKDOWNS – Due to the recent lockdowns, all face-to-face sessions can be moved to a telehealth session with the option of Zoom video or telephone counselling.
